Spectators can easily catch the participants starting, as well as passing by as they loop around the block to go out on the course. Since there are four different length races, no one will be bored by waiting around for hours to see the first finishers. After the first 30 minutes there will be four hours of runners making their way around the track and through the finish line. Did we mention that the louder and longer you cheer the faster the runners go? Let 'em know you're in the house!
JOHN MCDONNELL OUTDOOR TRACK COMPLEX
The Fayetteville Half Marathon will be one of the one of the most spectator friendly events as the finish for all Sunday races takes place inside a world-class outdoor running complex, John McDonnell Field. Spectators can not only sit in comfort to catch all the exciting and emotional finishes of all the competitors, but they can enjoy the large video screen, music, concessions and other activities planned for all ages. The post-race celebrations for all Sunday races will also take place inside the facility.
GARLAND AND MAPLE INTERSECTION
This is the starting and ending point of the loop on the course. Half marathon runners will pass this intersection three times as they make their way out to the loop from the starting line, begin the second loop and when they make their way to the finish line. You can watch the start, catch the second loop and then make your way back to the finish line!

UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS CAMPUS
A portion of the course makes it's way through the campus of this great institution. Runners will visit some very famous landmarks of the U of A including Old Main, the Peace Fountain, Senior Walk and the Chi Omega Greek Theatre.

MULTI-USE TRAIL SYSTEM
To avoid some high traffic areas of the city and a train track crossing, as well as to highlight one of Fayetteville's ever expanding alternatives to motorized transportation, a short portion of the multi-use trail will be utilized. If you're feeling a little adventurous, make your way out to the trail system between Sycamore and Maple Streets. But be careful ...there are runners a foot!
